OVERVIEW
About Fathom
Fathom is an AI notetaker for Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls. It records and transcribes each meeting, with a meeting bot or in a bot-free mode, then writes a summary and a list of action items. You can search past calls, share clips and ask questions about earlier conversations. The Business plan adds sales features: it can write meeting details into HubSpot or Salesforce fields after a call, show a deal view and score calls against a scorecard.
The practical use is less note-taking and less CRM typing after sales calls. Start on the free plan to judge summary quality on your own meetings, then try Business with a small group if you want CRM updates. CRM field sync updates records automatically after meetings, so agree the field mapping first and check the early updates by hand. Everyone on a recorded call should know it is being recorded. Fathom joined Superhuman in September 2026 and says nothing changes for users for now.
What the workflow does
- Call recording and transcripts: Records Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls with a meeting bot or in bot-free mode, and keeps searchable transcripts.
- Summaries and action items: Writes a summary straight after each call; paid plans add advanced summaries and AI action items.
- Ask Fathom: Answers questions about past meetings, so you can find what a customer said without replaying the call.
- CRM field sync: On Business, updates HubSpot or Salesforce records automatically after meetings, using the fields you map.
- Deal View and AI scorecards: On Business, summarises deal insights and scores calls against coaching scorecards.
