ChatGPT Pro plans get more Work and Codex usage
Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance, and OpenAI canceled the Pro 200 reduction it announced on September 29. Pro 200 subscribers on the lower allowance move up to the same limit. A day earlier, eligible Pro and Business subscribers got promotional API credits to build apps and agents with the OpenAI API.
What it means for you
If you hit Work limits on a Pro plan, you can hand it more tasks each month without changing plans. Check the eligibility terms before you count on the API credits.
Texting your dot is rolling out in beta to Pro users in the US, over iMessage or RCS. The dot keeps the same memory and plugins as in the ChatGPT app and can text you updates on its own. Only you can text your dot, and it doesn't get access to your other text conversations.
What it means for you
You can check on ongoing work or hand off a new task from your phone's messages app. It's US-only and in beta for now.
Grok Bot can find unused subscriptions and cancel the ones you pick
In version 0.78.1, the Find unused subscriptions template cancels plans you pick from the ones you still pay for, and Watch subscription prices checks renewal prices. Bots can look up a subscription's price and renewal date and confirm with you before changing anything. On Team plans, managers can add logins to a Team Bot's own Vault so it signs in for the team.
What it means for you
A regular pass over your software subscriptions can catch tools nobody uses anymore. Review the list before you let the bot cancel anything.
iCloud users can now connect Mail and Calendar to ChatGPT to find emails, catch up on their inbox, check their schedule and update calendar events. It is available on all ChatGPT plans on the web, the desktop app and iOS.
What it means for you
If your business email runs on iCloud, ChatGPT can now help you sort the inbox and keep your calendar current. Check event changes before you rely on them.
n8n 3.0 has breaking changes, and n8n asks you to read the breaking changes list and run its migration tool before you upgrade. The release also lets Slack agents reply only when someone @mentions them in channels, threads and group DMs. That option is off by default.
What it means for you
Run the migration tool before you upgrade so you know which lead, inbox and support workflows need changes.
GPT-6.1 Terra is a new model in ChatGPT Work and Codex for visual reasoning, computer use and writing. It is rolling out to Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, and you pick it from the model list. Your plan's overall usage limits don't change.
What it means for you
Tasks that read screens or click through web apps get another model option on the plan you already have. Try it on one repeat task before you change your defaults.
Grok Bot adds a Permissions section and gives approvals more time
Version 0.77.0 adds a Permissions section in Settings that lists Auto-review rules under Always Ask and Allow without Asking. Approval cards now stay open for 30 minutes instead of 10, in the app and in Slack. 1Password can also connect without a shared vault: you approve each login, and 1Password fills it in the Bot's browser without the Bot seeing it.
What it means for you
You can see in one place what your bot does without asking, and you're less likely to miss an approval while you're away from your desk.
Claude for Nonprofits adds a plugin for fundraising, marketing and hiring
Anthropic released a Claude for Nonprofits plugin with skills and connectors built with about 30 nonprofits. It covers fundraising from funder research to grant reports, campaign planning in your organization's voice, and hiring tasks such as job posts with interview guides. Anthropic says more than 75% of the nonprofits using Claude have fewer than 10 seats.
What it means for you
Small nonprofit teams get ready-made skills for grant and donor work instead of writing prompts from scratch. Check grant figures and their sources before you submit.
