OVERVIEW
About 1up
1up is an answer tool for sales, sales engineering and security teams that receive long buyer questionnaires. You connect approved sources such as security policies, product documents, past questionnaires and shared drives, and 1up drafts an answer for each question. It works with Excel, Word, PDF and Google Sheets files, and a Chrome or Edge extension fills in web-based questionnaire portals. The same knowledge can answer sales questions in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat, and through a customer-facing Answer Hub.
The answers are drafts. Teammates can review, edit and approve each response before the completed questionnaire goes back to the buyer. Start with a recent questionnaire you have already answered, and compare 1up's drafts with what you sent. Check answers about certifications, data handling and contract terms most carefully, because a confident wrong answer can become a commitment. Keep your sources current, since 1up drafts only from the material you connect.
What the workflow does
- Questionnaire drafting: Drafts answers to security questionnaires, DDQs and RFPs in Excel, Word, PDF and Google Sheets formats.
- Answers from approved sources: Uses only the sources you connect, and lets you exclude sources or set preferred ones.
- Review and approval: Teammates can review, edit and approve responses, with role-based access to each questionnaire.
- Browser extension: Fills in answers on web-based questionnaire portals in Chrome and Edge.
- Answers in chat and Answer Hub: Answers sales questions in Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Chat, and through a self-service Answer Hub for customers.
- MCP server: Lets an AI assistant your company already uses draft questionnaire answers through 1up, billed per answer.
