How to use Skills

Give your agent the input, the task, and a clear idea of the result.

Name the task and the skill

Tell the agent what you want done and which skill to use. In Claude Code, a skill can be called with /skill-name. Other tools have their own selectors and commands.

Give it useful context

Include the material it should work with, who the result is for, and the format you need. Explain what to leave out and what information it must not guess.

Use the meeting-recap skill. Make a short recap for the project team. Include decisions, open questions, and actions. Do not invent deadlines.

Review, then improve

Check the result against the input. Give specific feedback, such as “Keep unresolved questions in a separate list.” Save useful instructions in your own copy when you expect to repeat the task.
