Illustrative example · fictional input
- Customer message
- Cedar Works asks for help with 300 enquiries each month. Budget: up to USD 2,000 each month. Pilot: November; year not given.
- Example result
- Enquiry: help with 300 messages each month. Missing: scope, pilot year and whether the service fits. Suggested reply: Thanks for the details. Could you share the work you need help with and the year of your November pilot? We will review the scope before confirming.
Check every fact against the email. Edit each suggested reply before sending it yourself.
What you need
A real Gmail setup with reply text kept in your bot conversation for review.
- A Cursor account with an eligible paid individual Cursor plan, Cursor Teams, or linked eligible individual SuperGrok access. Check the official access guide first.
- Grok Bot on macOS, Windows, Linux or mobile. Legacy Privacy Mode does not support Grok Bot.
- One Gmail mailbox you can authorize. A work account may need your admin’s approval. Gmail plugin access is shared across your account.
Optional: business details such as your services, prices or opening hours. The default works without them.
Set it up
- Open Grok Bot and check that your account has access. Use the official access guide if the app asks you to change your plan.
- Choose New → Create new Bot. Name it Customer enquiry helper. In Edit Profile, describe its job: read enquiries and prepare reply text in the conversation for your review. Do not send, create Gmail drafts or change mailbox records.
- Open Plugins, find Gmail, add it and choose Authorize or Authenticate. Sign in to one mailbox and review the permissions. The plugin also supports write actions; this recipe only reads and prepares text.
- Check Gmail under Installed. If it says Waiting for authorization, use Reopen to finish. Ask your bot which Gmail connection is available without reading emails. A work account may need admin approval.
- Run the fictional sample below first. Check its result before allowing the agent to read real email.
- Copy the setup prompt below and send it to your bot. The default confirms rules without reading Gmail or creating a routine. To schedule it, choose Daily or Weekly from the Schedule dropdown before copying.
- For a schedule, check the actual routine and next run in your bot → View conversation details → Routines. Check the schedule, next run and active state there. Test run uses real Gmail; it is separate from the fictional sample. To change or pause work, use Routines.
- For When I ask, request a one-time check using the Gmail label in your prompt. Review the source emails and suggested replies, then send any reply yourself.
Your setup prompt is ready
Copy the ready prompt, or customize it with the settings. Paste it into Grok Bot to give it the task rules.
Customize (optional)
Defaults are ready to use. Changes update the prompt here; paste it into your agent to apply them.
Type a label from your connected Gmail mailbox. This site does not read your labels.
Choose how often your agent should check.
Choose the style for suggested replies. You still review each reply.
Optional. Add facts such as your services, prices and working hours. These help make replies more specific.

Try it and check
Try two fictional messages first. This sample uses no connected inbox and starts no scheduled work. Check the result yourself.
Check these details
- M001 includes 300 enquiries each month and a budget of up to USD 2,000 each month.
- The November pilot has no year. The reply asks for it rather than guessing.
- M008 is marked Needs human review. No past discussion is invented.
- Both messages have suggested replies and evidence from their text.
- The result stays in the conversation. No inbox access, send, draft, label change or routine is part of the sample.
Need help?
- Gmail missing: check Plugins, the signed-in mailbox and any work account approval.
- No manual result: ask for a one-time check of the Gmail label in your setup prompt after the agent confirms the rules.
- A reply adds a fact: remove it and ask the bot to use only email facts and mark missing details.
- A write approval appears: cancel it. This recipe only prepares text in the conversation.
- No scheduled result: open Routines and check the active routine, next run and Gmail connection. A message promising to run later is not enough.
Not tested by JuicyAgents. This guide uses official documentation checked on 2026-10-06. A sample result still needs human review.
Sources and limits
- These are task instructions, not a read-only permission switch. Review plugin access and any approval request.
- AI can miss or misunderstand messages. Check the source emails before taking action.
- JuicyAgents has not run this setup in Grok Bot. The result above is an illustrative example.
- Scheduled checks use your provider’s background tasks and usage limits. Check the actual task before relying on it.
