Illustrative example · fictional input

Sample input
Fictional discovery call for practice, not a recording of a real customer. [00:00] Seller: What made you look at a different way to handle support requests? [00:10] Buyer: We use a shared inbox and a spreadsheet. Three people spend about two hours each week copying ticket details. [00:25] Seller: What would a better process change? [00:30] Buyer: We want one clear owner for each request and fewer copied rows. A missed reply last week made us look for a change. [00:45] Seller: Who would choose the approach? [00:50] Buyer: I will compare options with our operations lead. I do not know our budget or decision date yet. [01:05] Seller: Shall we arrange another call? [01:10] Buyer: Send a short example first. We have not agreed a meeting date.
Illustrative output
Illustrative excerpt: Pain and current tools are Covered, supported by the buyer's shared-inbox and copying-work comments. Budget and timeline are Partial: the buyer says both are unknown. Procurement is Unclear because no evidence is supplied. Ask about the decision date and budget before the next discussion.

Setup guide

Try this in Claude Code

Open Claude Code (opens in a new tab)

Claude Code installed and signed in, following the official quickstart. A local practice folder and the Zime GTM skills plugin. Permission to use any real transcript in the chosen AI environment.

  1. Follow the linked Claude Code quickstart, create an empty practice folder, and start a local Claude Code session in it.
  2. In that session, run /plugin marketplace add zime-ai/zime-gtm-skills, then /plugin install gtm-skills@zime-gtm-skills. Review the plugin contents and choose an install scope.
  3. Follow the install summary. Reload plugins only if it asks, then type / to check that gtm-skills:deep-discovery is listed.
  4. Save the fictional transcript below as sales-call.txt in the practice folder. Paste the practice prompt, or choose the deep-discovery skill from the slash menu and give it ./sales-call.txt.
  5. Match each finding to a quote or timestamp before using the review for a coaching discussion.
  • Every quote or timestamp exists in the supplied file.
  • Unsupported procurement or budget details remain unknown.
  • The review distinguishes a missing fact from a poor salesperson.
  • The next questions follow from this call, not invented customer details.

Includes fictional input. Run it in Claude Code and review the result before using it.
