OVERVIEW
About Tabs
Tabs is aimed at finance teams whose billing starts with negotiated contracts, not only a standard online checkout. It connects the agreement with billing terms, invoices, collections, payments and revenue reporting. The platform can reduce the manual work of reading a contract, rebuilding its terms in a spreadsheet and keeping several systems aligned. It works alongside an ERP, so the wider accounting system can remain in place.
Its Collections Agent is a concrete example of an agent doing bounded finance work. It reviews account context and incoming email, proposes actions and can revisit an account after a promise to pay. Actions ask for approval by default. Teams can allow or prohibit particular actions, but automatic execution depends on the full plan being permitted. This makes the product useful for controlled collections work, while leaving accounting judgment and relationship-sensitive exceptions with the finance team.
What the workflow does
- Contract-based billing: Uses agreements and customer data to create structured billing information and invoice schedules.
- Connected revenue workflow: Links invoices, payments and revenue information with supported accounting and CRM systems.
- Collections Agent: Reviews incoming collection emails and account context, then proposes the next useful actions.
- Promise-to-pay follow-up: Can schedule a reminder to revisit the account and plan again using its updated state.
- Action permissions: Starts with approval requirements; allowed and prohibited actions control what a plan can execute.
FROM INPUT TO RESULT
How the workflow works
You provide
- Signed contracts, amendments, customer billing contacts and commercial terms.
- CRM and ERP connections, account mappings and payment information.
- Collection tone, approval rules and a working email-domain setup.
You get
- Invoices prepared from the agreed commercial terms rather than a separate manual spreadsheet.
- An organized queue of overdue accounts and proposed collection actions.
- Less copying of billing data between contracts, CRM records and accounting systems.
- 1
Map a sample of real contracts into billing terms and validate the resulting invoice schedule.
- 2
Connect the finance systems and collections inbox, then test data sync and agent proposals.
- 3
Review the queue, approve actions and examine exceptions before widening any automatic permissions.
